HIDAYA SULTAN ISLAMIC HIGH SCHOOL
Welcome to our school. There are three key features of our School: the first is to be a brilliant Islamic Secondary school, a boys’ and girls’ school, ambitious for all and innovative in practice. The second is to work with the Department of Education, and others, to closely supervise our teachers.
We support the programs from the Direct Aid Society Education department. The third, is to be a model Islamic school in Kigoma and the whole region. Even in our early stages, we have developed high quality learning programs, rooted in academic excellence, inspired by bringing theory and practice together.
We strive to be a brilliant secondary school, to reach high standards within the school and to build networks of educational possibilities locally, Nationally and Internationally. In all we do, we are guided by the visions of Abdulrahman al sumait I.e to elevate the poor families through education.
We seek opportunities to develop our thinking, in partnership with others, so that together we develop the best-informed learning practice that raises standards and contributes positively to society. As such, we are aligned with the vision and values of our Organization – Direct Aid Society.
Our school is founded on three principles: moral upbringing, ambition and innovation. We believe in the power of collaboration, through moral relationships and clear communication. We believe in every student’s capacity to learn. We believe that students are powerful and need a kind, caring approach within clear boundaries and high expectations. We challenge and support children in equal measure to be independent and confident learners. In our school we focus not only on the knowledge and skills for our children to achieve highly, but also to develop in them the values of empathy, respect, trust, courage and gratitude.
Our team is a passionate group of teachers, administrators and senior leaders. We come to work to make a difference. Education is a complex and demanding process that requires partnership between families and school. Our center director gives the oversight of the school. He delegate operational responsibility to the Headmaster and his senior team. We look forward to meeting you in person.

A very warm welcome to our school. I loved school and I still love learning. That is what we aim for Hidaya Sultan High School: a real love of learning, extending beyond school into each Students life.
We want children excited about coming to school, engaged purposefully in their learning and able to articulate their views in polite, respectful and positive ways. I expect learning opportunities to be irresistible and will work closely with colleagues to develop what we do and how we do it.
Our vision is built on our three principles: Moral upbringing, Ambition, and Innovation. Drawing from the extensive education research into high quality learning and teaching, as exemplified in the NECTA curriculum, our curriculum intends to provide a holistic learning experience, informed by strong values which emphasize equality, compassion and community in which everyone’s voice is welcome and valued. it is through our inclusive, warm and caring approach that we know our students and their teachers will flourish, to reach their academic and social potential and move along their learning journey confidently, with courage and with humility.
we are fortunate to be a part of direct aid society which is among outstanding educational stake holders for Islamic schools. our school is already a hub for the learning of academics and teachers will support their students in their own to influence national and international research, thinking and learning in the 21st century.
Being an educator is a privilege and a great responsibility. My great team are aware of this and work hard in partnership to ensure that every Student is prepared to meet their life challenges. This is not an educational experiment. Instead, I want our our Students to live out our values, use knowledge wisely, to be creative and independent, caring and well mannered, able to rise successfully to their life and learning challenges.
