About Tanga Branch

Direct Aid Society formerly known as  Africa Muslims Agency (A.M.A) is a non governmental organization in Tanzania, in Tanga region, the organization started its operation in 1997  and the construction at the center started when the then Vice President of the United Republic of Tanzania Dr. Omari Ali Juma who laid the foundation stone on 27/2/1997 .

After the laying of the foundation Stone, the center continued to operate until 2002 when it was officially opened by Al-haji prof. Juma Athumani Kapuya Who was then the Minister for Works, youth development and Sports on Thursday  14/3/2002.
