Dar es Salaam – center

The Dar es Salaam Center started as Ibn-Kathir orphanage. This orphanage was officially inaugurated by the then President of the United republic of Tanzania Hon. Ali Hassan Mwinyi.

Al-Farouq center (The Official name for the Dar es Salaam Center) was established in August 2000 by the late vice President of the United republic of Tanzania Dr. Omar Ali Juma. Being a Charitable Center Managed by Direct Aid Society – Tanzania provides care and education from Primary to Secondary School for these in need.

Direct Aid Society – Tanzania, Dar es Salaam Center runs a Secondary School and Primary School at Tabata, Dar es Salaam, a Secondary School in Morogoro and a Secondary School in Mtwara.

The Dar es Salaam Center manages four (4) Schools i.e. Al-Farouq Primary, Al-Farouq Secondary, At-Taaun Secondary and Al-Safah Secondary. It also manages a religious school known as Ibn Abbas and a Medical Center known as Prince Saud Health Center

AL – FAROUQ ENGLISH PRIMARY

Al-Farouq English Medium Primary School is an Islamic English Medium Primary that follows the Tanzania Schools Academic System and the National Examination Council of Tanzania Examinations where the School has been performing very well.

AL – FAROUQ ISLAMIC SEMINARY

The Al-Farouq Islamic Seminary is a boys only boarding school located in Tabata, it Started in 1999 as a Private Islamic School that provides an education of academic distinction for O-Level and A-Level. Students at Al-Farouq Islamic Seminary come from across Dar es Salaam and the outskirts of the city.

AL-SAFAH ISLAMIC SEMINARY

Al-Safah Islamic Seminary an Islamic school located in the Center of Mtwara Town behind the Regional Library, with easy communication to the city by road and by public transport. It is housed in a purpose-built building with modern learning facilities designed for Secondary School Education for the inhabitants of Mtwara and the surrounding regions
